Memories of our Armistice Day 11th November 2018
For more than a decade, every 11th November we have attended the Armistice Day service at the Menin Gate in Ypres - both the incredibly moving 11am service and the 8pm Last Post extended evening ceremony.
On the same visits we have laid wreaths at the memorials where our Brimington men are remembered in Belgium before moving down to France to do the same there.
This year however, because of the centennial we will stay at home to attend Brimington’s commemorations, which we’ve been planning for some time.
Therefore, we have laid our customary wreaths early – on our visit to the western front in September -
