Before we travelled to France we left our customary crosses at the graves of the soldiers in Brimington cemetery and arranged - in our absence - for our Brimington wreath to be hung on the memorial gates on Remembrance Sunday

We called at the Loos Memorial on our way down to our hotel in the Somme area - to lay our wreath in memory of  the five Brimington men who are remembered there.

Belgium

Two days later we left for Belgium for our stay near Poperinge. During the visit we laid our wreaths at the memorials where our village soldiers are remembered. 

 And as we have done for the past decade or so, we attended the Armistice commemorations in Ypres.
